Robo soccer rules
Team specifications :-
1. Team may consist of a maximum of 4 participants .
2. Participants from different educational institutions cannot form a team.
3. Every participant would have to show their institution’s ID card and registration receipt at the time of reporting.
Robo specifications :-
1. The maximum dimension of the robot can be 30 x 30 x 30 cm (l x b x h).
2. The robot may be wired or wireless.
3. The length of the wire (for wired bots) should be at least 7 m long .
4. Maximum weight of the robot must not exceed 10 kg.
5. The robot should not hold the ball with any bounded objects.
6. The power supply will be provided of up to 12 volts.
7. Readymade robots will not be allowed.
Arena specifications :-
Round 1 – DAY 1 : THIS IS WARMUP !!!!
1. Arena would be a rectangular stage divided into two sections A and B.
2. The BOT should start from “A” and reach “B” without any fail.
3. The maximum Height of zones would be 10 cm.
4. The maximum inclination of the arena would be 20 degree.
5. Arena would be open path in a closed space.
6. Arena will contain some obstacles.
7. The robot should cross all the obstacles and reach to the penalty kick area (i.e. “B”).
8. Zone “A”- The bot have to cross the obstacles along with the ball.
9. Zone “B” - Containing penalty area where the robot will kick the ball in the goal post by passing a goal keeper.
10. Arena specifications are subject to change.
Round 2 – DAY 2 : COME AND STRIKE!!!!!!
1. Second round will be soccer round in which participants qualified from first round are made into teams (two bot in each team) and play against each other.
Rules and regulations :- ( strictly to be followed )
1. Teams not following dimensional criteria shall be disqualified.
2. The BOT should not damage the arena else team will be disqualified.
3. Design and dimension of the robot should not be changed during the competition.
4. Robot should not leave the track.
5. Only one person will be allowed to control the robot around the arena.
6. Any ready-made assembly except remote control system is prohibited in the BOT.
7. The BOT must use only electrical power as source of energy. Use of Compressed gas, fuels, chemicals etc. is prohibited. Lead acid batteries are allowed.
8. Robot can make contact with the ball for maximum of 10 sec.
9. All kind of pushers, plungers, etc. can be used but it should not be bounded (i.e the plunger or fork etc. should be open from at least one side).
10. Robot should navigate along the track with the ball.
11. The decision of Judges and Coordinators will final and binding on all.
12. The name of the BOT must be prominently displayed on the BOT.
13. The weight of the ball will be less than 10 gm and diameter is 5 cm.
Judging criteria :-
1. There would be two rounds.
2. First one would be single go round in which robot have to cross the obstacles along with a ball and reach to the penalty area and from 5 specified position the bot have to strike a ball towards the goal post. The bots that will cover the path in given time and with maximum number of accurate goal will be selected for the next round.
3. Second round will be soccer round in which participants qualified from first round will form a team (two bots in each team) and play against each other.
4. Wireless BOT will be given extra 20 points.
5. The BOT having self-made wireless system on bread board or PCB will get 20 more points extra.
6. The BOT should start to move with reverse counting and complete the whole path in minimum time; remaining seconds will be the score
